Great. Anyway it doesn’t FEEL like a Jewish New Year. Been a new year for the last two weeks. When is this gonna kick in! I forgot to even jokingly observe Yom Kippur for half a minute this year. More often than not I hedge my bets and atone for my sins blandly. I often think at some point over Yom Kippur Hey Sorry For Sins but lets be honest they’re probably your fault ultimately YOU’RE GOD you control everything so YOU should be apologizing TO ME. Maybe it’s a good thing I forgot to do that blasphemy this time around. Blasphemy sounds like something you want to avoid in a 19th century medical book. Kinda IS I guess. Anyway I dunno how to feel about Rick Rubin. I dunno how to feel about anything. I guess he’d be a good producer for people who already know what they’re doing. That’s great for them. Maybe one day I can learn producing skills. I have human features just like anyone else so I can probably pick up what most other people can! My favorite special technique when recording music in the distant past was double tracking acoustic guitar and electric guitar playing mostly the exact same thing on the same song or something. I think. Maybe I’m remembering it wrong. Maybe I did something else to make it sound unique. Either way somehow I did something that sounded good once!
Maybe I was playing an acoustic guitar through an electric guitar filter? I forget! This was two decades ago. Anyway. They mention Stevie Nicks several times as a plot point in the School Of Rock movie and now the supposedly unrelated School Of Rock Corporation wants me to learn Fleetwood Mac? Something is AFOOT. I don’t know if I like it! I rewatch School Of Rock all the time but I’m not so sure I like it anymore. It was a good kids movie and a good Jack Black movie but it’s not a very good rock music movie. Kinda toothless I think. IT’D BE FINE if there were other Rock Music Movies out there that were harder hitting for adults but there aren’t! Imagine Jack Black starring in a rock music movie for adults. That’s what we’re missing out on! Is that Tenacious D and the Pic For Destiny. I dunno WHAT THAT IS or WHO IT’S FOR. It’s an OK movie though I guess! Anyway. Music isn’t for adults it’s for teenagers I guess. That’s too bad. Gonna have to look into that to double check. I’m an adult and my age is two times the oldest teenager and I listen to music as much as ever. Music is there in our lives THUS it’s a good thing and we need more of it and we need more good movies about it.
You know like Camp Rock. I Dunno. Either way Probably Not. Camp Rock. Is that where Jason Vorhees is from. I get my movies mixed up. Why does Jason Vorhees need to wear a ski mask. It’s not a secret identity he’s hiding. It’s no secret who he is! He’s Jason! We know it! Maybe he’s just ashamed of his gross face. It’s not that he’s hiding his identity so much as he’s embarrassed of his zombie appearance. Oh okay good. He should he more ashamed of his murders. If I was him yes Dead & Rotting Face is something to be self-conscious about but I’d be even more mortified that people consider me an egregious murderer of camp teenagers. Cause if it were me I’d never kill anybody. That’s how I live my life! What if I had the opportunity to kill Jason Vorhees himself. Well I don’t think I’d be able to first of all, but if I could, I dunno, it’s all hypothetical, so who cares. Everything is hypothetical so it’s pointless to think about anything. Anyway. Jason Vo or Hees. Gotta choose one! I dunno. I don’t like Jason because he never says anything. Kinda like Michael Myers. Just TALK A LITTLE BIT. Tell me what you’re thinking! How you’re feeling. What’s on your mind! Then go back to killing people if you want. Just communicate with me articulately for a second!
Okay. I know they had Freddy v. Jason but they never had Jason V. Jason. Where they cloned Jason and made one Friday the 13th fight another Friday the 13th. Probably because that’d be confusing above all else. Oh okay. Aren’t all Friday the 13ths Jason v. Jasons. In the sense that HIS INNER CONFLICT is what’s at the heart of these movies. What is his inner conflict. He wants to keep getting to the person he’s stalking so he can kill them. And then after that get to the next person to kill them. That’s his outer conflict. Oh. Not sure then! Something about his mother. Wants to please his mother. Wants to avenge his mother. His mother wants to avenge him which in turn makes him want to make his mother satisfied she avenged him good. Huh. Does the date Friday The 13th ever come into play in this movie franchise. I’ve seen all these movies probably at least once. I don’t remember That Day ever mattering! In essence it’s a spooky day but I don’t get the chills at all thinking about the title. Dumb franchise defanged the creepiness of the day! Oh well. On the other hand the movie Halloween did the reverse and made Halloween SCARIER. Cause it actually really matters that it’s Halloween. It really matters A LOT.
They made movies called all the major holidays but there’s a lot of Jewish Holidays out there still available. No movie yet just called SUKOT. No movie called CHANUKAH. Well there’s 8 Crazy Nights. But there’s no movie called PURIM. Anyway. There’s no Jewish Halloween is there. I doubt it. I’d remember something like that. I like Channukah because it’s one word in the English language (tangentially) that we just decided OKAY FOR THIS ONE, 2-3 accepted spellings. Any other word we narrowed it down to one spelling. This one is anyone’s presumption! Gonna be very lenient with it. Chanukah. Hanukkah. IT’S ALL GOOD. So that’s good. Anyway the good news is I have a music lesson tonight. Start learning some Fleetwood Mac songs. Learning those songs will help me do my own music better. How? Why? Am I sure about that? These are all decent questions that may have answers possibly. Guitar is hard. Sometimes you look at it and you just get it and sometimes you look at it and it’s abstract art. I dunno. I feel if I practice more I’ll reach a level where I Get Better. Practice? Is that a thing people do? Probably. I kinda practice. I play random notes on the guitar often all the time! That’s a form of practicing I feel. Anyway. That’s all for today. See ya later!
