Great. How’s everyone doing? It’s been a month since the last entry. Do I still know how to do this as well as I last knew how to do this or possibly better? Feels like Probably No. FEELS LIKE I don’t know how to do anything. Kinda the running narrative in my head at all times regardless of the action or inaction being performed. It’s all I Don’t Know What I’m Doing at all times 24/7 Up Here! Anyway what would I like to talk about today. Still got my 2025 calendar up magnetized to my file cabinet. 2025 Is BEST CASE scenario. It might be 2024! Let’s see hmm it’s actually a 2023 calendar. I’ve fallen behind the times. Currently looking at July 2023. That’s around when I started up life again. After years in Isolation Tank. Started with UCB Classes and whatknot. And probably marijuana. And new misleading height shoes. Right? I TINK. Anyway I guess I got too busy for this calendar. My head got too big for it! Like I’m BETTER THAN IT or something. Let’s Family Feud things your head gets too big for. #1 gotta be turtleneck sweaters! Anyway went to a concert of sorts last week with cohorts from SOR. Band did covers of Pop Punk songs from the turn of the millennium give of take I Dunno Eight Years.
Pretty fun to do things! It’s very stressful to do things but it’s definitely the right move! It’s what regular people do! THINGS. And the more things you do the more regular you’ll be. It potentially has Compounding Interest! Like getting back in the swing of writing this website. It feels awkward at first but I’LL GET THERE. I believe that was the title of the Bob Dylan movie where everyone under the sun played him. I’LL GET THERE. Got two new songs in SOR. They’re called NIRVANA and Spin Docoters. Can’t bring myself to Capitalize, “Spin Doctors.” Just don’t merit that kind of enthusiasm and seriousness! It’s a fun song though. In retrospect this sounds kind of off but I remember being heartbroken about being romantically and socially denied by a girl I had a huge crush on and I would listen to Two Princes over and over for probably months. I guess lyriccontentwise it makes sense, in the sense that Oh Girl Is Choosing Some Other Prince over Me so that’s what I’m latching onto. But if you listen to the song sonically THIS AIN’T HEARTBREAK MUSIC AT ALL. Also to be fair it was just one of Let’s Say TOP SEVEN SONGS I listened to foster my heartbreak for that period of heartbreak. But it was in the top 7 SOLID.
Anyway. Ah well good riddance. I hope I had the time of my life! Did I identify with the prince with diamonds in his pockets or the prince who would buy the lady rockets. Probably BOTH. I identified with ANYONE AND EVERYONE IN THE SONG and any other prince IRL is some jerk would probably be musicless completely! Anyway the prince with diamonds in his pockets CAN ALSO buy the lady rockets. DIAMONDS ARE PRACTICALLY CURRENCY. You can buy anything with them. Huh. Not sure that’s accurate now that I think about it. You don’t pay for things in Diamonds! Then what the hell is this guy doing with them in his pockets exactly. TRYING TO ATTRACT GIRLS APPARENTLY. Huh. Anyway the other new song I’m to learn is Heart Shaped Box. You know like a Valentines Day Candy Gift. That’s the only Heart Shaped Box I know of! Could mean Vagina. That sounds like a sexual slang but I’m not quite sure they’re extremely Heart Shaped. I may have made those interpretation inferences aware on this website before. I know I’ve thought them over and over! HMM maybe I should bring them up to my friends in School Of Rock. They’ll enjoy my insights for a first time for once! Well anyway.
OK. It feels wrong to repeat jokes. In my head, the imaginary audience is ENRAGED by it. Instead of appreciating humour again softly in their head, they just get furious. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle. Extreme Indifference or something. That’s probably how everyone feels about everything I do and am all the time. Mostly my assumption going into things. Anyway. What are the other Six Songs I listened to on repeat in That Unrequited Love Melancholia? Well let’s see Anarchy In The U.K. I think. Maybe not. Maybe! I dunno. Some standard unfunny answers that you may or may not be intimately familiar with so whatever. Anyway what day would it be today if it was July 2023. Huh I don’t know if Calendars really work that way. IF ONLY THEY DID. But they don’t! How did Spin Doctors even end up in my iTunes library. That’s the question we should be asking. This was before Streaming Services where the only songs we listened to we had to at least halfway Go Out Of Our Way to GET. Anyway once you get in the groove of listening to Two Princes I can see listening to it over and over. But how did I MAKE THAT LEAP and start in the first place? I guess we’ll never know! Unless I can open a portal to the past! Hey cool let’s do that!
Good. Could be a song about them cloning Prince. The musician. I dunno. It clearly isn’t if you listen to the lyrics. IT MIGHT BE IN THE SUBTEXT. Oh okay good. I like how when they developed cloning technology they cloned a sheep in the 90’s. A LITTLE ON THE NOSE. Of all species to clone! Sheep are metaphors for All Being Alike Each Other. Now that I think about it seems like a scam. “OH SURE WE CLONED THIS SHEEP. Of course this new sheep is a clone of this other sheep and not just another one that looks exactly the same like all sheep! We Cloned ‘Em!” And then we didn’t hear anything about it for the next 30 years. Now that I think about it Probably A Rip-Off. Huh. Good band name. The Rip-Off’s. Seems like at some point that should have been a band at some point. Not gonna be MY band. But someone shoulda taken that title! Hmm could make sense as Cover Band name too! Especially if you only specialize in material of Deceased Artists. Rest In Peaces Offs. You’re gonna wanna cover all the angles of your band name ideally. Anyway I found out the next season of School Of Rock is Fleetwood Mac which is kind of not exciting but on the other hand maybe it’s a good thing to learn music that you don’t like. Maybe you end up liking the thing you don’t like! Or at the very least get something technically out of it. I dunno! Anyway that’s today for ya. See ya later!
